She swayed smoothly in her superhit item song in ‘Ready’, ‘Character Dheela’. But apart from the adulation she got for her performance, Zareen Khan was also subjected to a lot of criticism for her out-of-shape body. In fact, it reached a point when she was even referred to as ‘Fatrina’ as she resembled actress Katrina Kaif, only flabbier. But Zareen wasn’t one to sit back and endure such criticism, so she decided to shed her excess fat and opt for a toned body for her role in Sajid Nadiadwala’s next, ‘Housefull 2’.

Zareen’s arduous workout schedule was scripted by fitness expert, Yasmin Karachiwalla who crafted a regimented workout recipe that helped Zareen lose 43 kgs. The star went from a whopping 100 kgs to her current weight of 57kgs.

Talking about the military boot camp Yasmin has put her through Zareen says “Every morning, I do pilates for an hour and weight training thrice a week with Yasmin Karachiwalla. I also do some swimming and jogging and eat every two hours to increase my metabolic rate. Sweets and fried food are a strict no!”

With impressive results showing Zareen is only too encouraged to train harder. “In the next few months, results will be even more visible,” adds Zareen. Here's bidding farewell to flab and welcome to toned abs.

BBUDDAH HOGA TERRA BAAP has the 69-year-old Bachchan enacting the role of a defiant, flamboyant hitman in his inimitable style. With BBUDDAH HOGA TERRA BAAP, the angry young man of the 1970s and 1980s re-surfaces to re-live various roles that he enacted in those memorable films. This one's a masala film all the way. Right from a medley of Bachchan hits to the expertly crafted action sequences to the by-now-famous Bachchan baritone, this one has it all.

Frankly, masala films and path-breaking story don't go hand in hand. It's the moments that make a film. And BBUDDAH HOGA TERRA BAAP is no different. This one also rests on a skeletal plot. But that one man makes a world of a difference -- Amitabh Bachchan. He's angry [dare not call him 'Bbuddah'], but has a soft side too. He bashes the baddies, squeezing them like oranges. He gets the best lines to deliver and believe me, it makes the fan in you clap and cheer on several occasions. Let's face it, no Hindi film actor has ever had the opportunity to portray a part that Bachchan gets to portray at the ripe age of 69. Besides saluting the actor for delivering an electrifying performance, I would also like to salute the indomitable spirit and energy of this iconic actor for essaying the role with gusto and zest.

Final word? Bachchan fans -- especially those who have grown up on his movies -- are sure to relish it. Even if you're not a Bachchan fan, watch this one for one simple reason: They don't make them like Amitabh Bachchan anymore!

Viju [Amitabh Bachchan], an ex-gangster, arrives in Mumbai on a mission. He is flamboyant, wears loud clothes, is arrogant and hits back when people call him 'Bbuddah'. At first, everyone thinks that he's on a mission to assassinate the ACP [Sonu Sood], but there's a hidden agenda, which is revealed much later.

BUDDAH HOGA TERRA BAAP is a Hindi film packaged like a well-made South Indian fare: the style of narrating the story, the slick edit, the fast pacing, the stylized action scenes, the larger-than-life characters... The film commences on a pulsating note [Bachchan's intro is smashing], but the first hour works sporadically. While the portions involving Bachchan are exhilarating, there are multiple tracks in this hour which get on your nerves. The scenes in the coffee shop, for instance, are most irritating. Also, the track involving Raveena Tandon comes across like an unwanted guest. If the intention was to evoke laughter, sorry, it doesn't work.

The story actually takes off at the interval point, when an unexpected twist startles the viewer completely. From this point onwards, BBUDDAH HOGA TERRA BAAP only scales higher and higher, reaching the peak towards the action-packed finale and the subsequent emotional reunion. I'd like to single out the confrontation between Bachchan and Prakash Raj in the final moments of the film and also the soaked-in-emotions sequence between Bachchan and Hema. It's the perfect icing on the cake!

While the written material banks too heavily on the tried and tested formula, director Puri Jagannadh ensures that he doesn't disappoint the hardcore fans of the icon. Bachchan is known for, besides his acting potential, larger than life roles and witty/smart dialogue. Puri presents Bachchan like a true superstar and gives him lines that would garner ceetees and taalis, especially when he's confronting the baddies in the movie.

Vishal-Shekhar do a super job while composing the medley of Bachchan hits, 'Go Meera Go', the soft and soothing 'Haal-e-Dil' and the title track, which comes at the very start of the film. Amol Rathod's cinematography is perfect, while Vijay's stunts are stylish.

Bachchan is truly the Baap and this film reiterates this fact yet again. His character, his attitude and the dialogue he delivers will remain etched in your memory for a long, long time. His attire may raise eyebrows initially, but once into the film, you will realize it gels well with his character. Hema Malini is, as always, graceful. The chemistry between the senior actors is refreshing. Raveena is saddled with an ill-defined role and that's the prime reason why she doesn't leave an impact. Sonu Sood is first-rate, confident at every step. Not once do you feel that he's overawed by Bachchan's towering presence. Sonal Chauhan looks pretty and acts well. Charmee Kaur is likeable and contributes to the funny moments.

Prakash Raj is super. In fact, it's a treat to watch powerful actors like Bachchan and Prakash Raj embroiled in a confrontation. Makrand Deshpande is wonderful. Shahwar Ali is okay. Rajeev Mehta irritates. Again, this track seems completely unwanted. Rajeev Varma has a half-baked role. Vishwajeet Pradhan and Atul Parchure are passable.

On the whole, BBUDDAH HOGA TERRA BAAP is a must-watch for Bachchan fans. Even if you're not a fan of this iconic actor, watch it for a simple reason: They don't make them like Amitabh Bachchan anymore. A masala entertainer all the way, BBUDDAH HOGA TERRA BAAP may get affected by the omnipotent and unstoppable DELHI BELLY and TRANSFORMERS wave on Friday [although single screens would perform better than plexes], but the business should multiply on Saturday and Sunday due to Bachchan's bravura act and rock-solid post-interval portions. The producers [A.B. Corp, Viacom18] have already recovered the cost of production by selling the Satellite rights for a hefty sum and recovering the balance amount [P&A] from theatrical business should be a cakewalk, ensuring good profits to the investors in the final tally.

Bollwood actress Jacqueline Fernandez who is fame and mark her space in bollywood very slowly ended her two-year relationship with her Bahrain Boyfriend. The grapevine is abuzz with the news that she call it quits with Sheikh Hassan bin Rashid Al Khalifa, a prince from Bahrain and much to the delight of all you pursuers of the ‘beauty’, Jacqueline Fernandez is single again.

The break-up happened a few weeks ago when Hassan confronted her about the rumours of her link-up with director Sajid Khan.

Talking to daily, a source said, "It is not just that. There are several factors at play here. Jackie has distanced herself from the prince over time. They were in a long distance relationship, which wasn`t the best scenario. Earlier she would make time for him, but suddenly she became ambitious about her career in films and that became a priority. It almost seemed like he was the only one interested in keeping this relationship alive."

Reportedly, Hassan never stopped her from signing films. "He was always supportive of her work, but she was the one to put the relationship on the backburner. They planned to get engaged but Jackie`s attitude changed. It was evident she was no longer interested in him”, added the source.

Apparently their last meeting ended in an argument when she told him that her career meant more to her at this point than the relationship. After that day, she never took his calls nor replied to text messages.

The source said, "Their close friends know about the break-up. Hassan doesn`t want to talk about it because he wants to keep it private. He has let Jackie go and doesn`t want to be bitter over the separation."

The source, however, stressed that Jackie`s closeness to Sajid Khan isn`t the reason for the split. "She made the decision to end her relationship with Hassan early on. During that time she got very close to Sajid, but he isn`t responsible for them parting ways." Will they get back together? "No. Hassan and Jackie are done for good," says the source.

There were rumours flying that Wasim Akram in love with Sushmita Sen. We give you the real truth. Earlier The grapevine is abuzz with the news that former Miss Universe and Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen is dating former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram. The duo has been spotted in many events but they have not made their relationship public till date.

Actor Sushmita Sen gets candid about rumoured beaus and babies in a recent chit chat with a tabloid. Sushmita Sen was seen attending superstar SRK's bash at his Bandra residence a month ago. But it invited a lot of attention as Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram, whom she was reportedly dating in the past, was there too.

Ask her what they spoke about and Sushmita's first reaction is a hearty, "NOYB." Huh? "None of your business." But nudge her a little and she admits that they did some catching up. In fact, she says that they even met up at a Juhu resto-bar soon after. A little more coaxing and Sush reveals, "I am extremely fond of Wasim. Remind her that close to a year back, she had taken to the stage and proudly announced that after being mother to two adopted girls, she was finally ready to have biological children. Ask her what is the update on that decision and she says, "I'd still say that I'm ready to have biological children. The only problem is that I have to find a man to suit the title of father. But trust me, giving birth is a process I want to experience. I know that my body clock is ticking, but I think a woman has good chances of conceiving till she is 42 years of age... so I keep telling myself that I still have some time to go."

Till then, Sushmita says that she is busy with launching a chain of spas, running an events firm, looking at scripts occasionally and most importantly trying to find the best candidate to represent India at an international platform for the Miss Universe pageant, through her competition I Am She.

A spoof on Bollywood legends, in an item number for 'Delhi Belly,' which will incidently introduce Aamir Khan as ‘Item Boy’ has not gone well with some. Aamir Khan and his fans must be thrilled with the actor’s amazing item number ‘I Hate You’ from “Delhi Belly”, but this has certainly not gone fine with our Mr. India aka Anil Kapoor.

Aamir Khan has openly accepted taking references from yesteryears actors but this seems to have upset a few people, especially actor Anil Kapoor, who is apparently not amused with being one of the 'inspirations' for the song.

"This song is my tribute to the disco era that included actors like Mithun da, Govinda, Jeetendra and Anil Kapoor. These actors were brilliant dancers and I have tried to imbibe my style from them. My hair is inspired by one actor and my clothes from another." Apparently, Anil is upset as he is the inspiration behind Aamir sporting a huge amount of chest hair in the item song. "Yeah, Anil may feel bad but it is a disco dance number and I haven't done this to offend anyone," says Aamir.

The actor is also hoping that Mithun da catches a glimpse of his performance. "It will be a big deal if he likes the number. I am hoping he does," he said. Remind him that the song also seems to be a take-off from the Hollywood actor John Travolta's Saturday Night Fever and he agrees adding, "Yeah, in fact, someone even suggested that I send him a copy too. I think I'll do that," he says.

Aamir is also forthcoming when asked about superstar Amitabh Bachchan not approving of using expletives in films and songs. "I absolutely agree with Mr Bachchan. I don't think he said anything wrong. In fact, after DK Bose, I have made Disco Fighter especially for him. This song is clean, with absolutely no expletives. I hope he likes this," he adds with a smile.

Ask Aamir about the buzz that a top heroine was to dance with him in the number and he says cheekily, "I approached all of them. In fact I even called each one, but strangely, no one took my call. I was left with no option but to do it myself."

Talking about the content of the film, Aamir says that he considers himself fortunate that the censor board did not suggest any cuts in the adult flick. "The entire film is being shown the way it was shot," he beams.

Aishwarya Rai is fed up with the way the media having written multiple stories about her film Heroine while not many have really tried to contact her or her spokespersons. She wants people to clarify these rumors with her spokespeople, so that they can know about the truth.

We are informed that she will be coming out with a statement not just on her pregnancy but on other issues as well including what happens to her and the film Heroine and on the communication that she has had with the film’s director Madhur Bhandarkar and the producer UTV.

Ash is also pleasantly happy with her Khakee director Rajkumar Santoshi for having the courtesy to inform her that he will not make his film with Abhishek and her - without her. And that he would wait for her to get back into shape after her baby is born before starting shooting again.

And we reckon that Ash will be shooting for his film titled 'Ladies and Gentlemen' first and not Heroine, because as we realize, she is not happy with the makers of that film for leaking out a lot of information to the media that was privy only to them.
